  I believe this is the oldest hotel in Regina and the one with the most character. The bar and the lounge used to be more authentic before the renovation. Still one of the best places if you want to have a a good cocktail and chat with friends. The music is not too loud on the vibe is it good. It is close to other pubs and bars if you want to continue your night with more drinks and dance.

  Good service, nicely themed rooms. There were some stained towels (not good), but I would stay here again since there isn't much in Regina anyways..

  On May 23rd, 1927, the Morning Leader printed four words: “Hotel Saskatchewan is Ready.” These words announced a new chapter of Regina’s history, and 88 years later, after extensive renovations, the hotel has embraced its historical past and been remodeled to fit its new Circa 27 theme, celebrating the year the grand hotel first opened.

  Much has changed in the hotel since it opened almost ninety years ago. Being the fourteenth luxury hotel built by the Canadian Pacific Railway, the ten story structure has continued to dominate the city’s skyline for generations. Renovations are nearing completion throughout the building, with the final rooms being opened this spring. In an attempt to bring back the classic Roaring Twenties vibe, the hotel’s interior has received a facelift, starting with the replacement of the old royal red carpet and wallpaper with a more authentic light green carpet and white wallpaper featuring decorative gold trim.

  Love the lounge but the vision of what it used to be is lost. They keep changing the menu. Not bad food not what it used to be. Of a limited sampling, the new chef seems inferior to the old one. The mushroom soup for example, is vinegary. The club sandwich has lost any definition of a club sandwich. The hotel has great scotch selection, great chairs. It remains my favourite place to start long conversations with friends.

  I had a wonderful stay here. My room was clean and well appointed and the service was good. The coffee and water stations in the lobby were appreciated and I used them frequently during my stay. The brunch in the restaurant was great and the continental buffet was a good price with a good selection. I recommend staying here.
