  I told him what I was after and he looked at me as if I asked him for a million dollars. He stared at me blankly and said "oh". So I asked him, "does that mean yes or no?" and he said "kind of". ????? "we have a supplier but I haven't heard of anyone asking for a stair runner in 15 years". Again ????? Are you not a custom flooring business??? Do you not have interior designers??? There was absolutely no effort to help me with my request. he didn't even get up off of his stool. He proceeded to tell me that I would need to fasten the stair runner down on the stairs and he just didn't think that was possible. Are you serious? Do you think that I am that stupid to not know that you would have to fasten a carpet runner on stairs?? AND your telling me this isn't possible!?

  We wanted to replace the tile flooring on our main level and main bathroom. After several issues regarding our existing floor and house structure Peter, Terry and the installers didn't give up until they found a solution. Now we have a beautiful updated floor that will look great for years to come. Launa, our interior designer, helped to pull the rest of the space together. We couldn't be happier. Great team work and amazing service. Thank you.

  Well I know for sure that it definitely isn't possible to handle my request through this business. At least in writing this review I see that I'm not the only person who was treated poorly. I too am under 40 and wore jeans. Perhaps some truth to this as stupid as it seems. Perhaps I wouldn't be so pissed about this whole experience if I didn't hear their radio ad over and over again, encouraging people to drop by because you are an "Alford's customer", no matter who you are. This business is as pretentious as it gets. I will NEVER go back to this store again.

  So disgusted with how I was treated as a first time visitor to this business. I walked into the store past 5 employees and not ONE welcomed me. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted....information on a custom stair runner for my hardwood staircase. I circled the carpet display for 10 minutes with no approach from any staff. Went the front desk and was literally ignored by the receptionist while an employee sitting on the stool beside the desk observed me wait. Finally the guy on the stool asked "can i help you?" though in retrospect I wish he hadn't because that interaction was really the icing on the cake.

  We built a new house in 2015 and decided we wanted good quality products customized to our style. Alford's delivered and then some. We made many many trips to the store and our sales lady was fabulous!! Always took whatever time we needed to help us with choices, styles, colours etc. The service is outstanding. Our furniture arrived when it was supposed to and delivered and set up by the most professional guys. Have to have a couple minor things adjusted and it's being done without hesitation or question! We will never buy anywhere else. The saying is, you get what you pay for!!
