  They installed a new furnace for my sis. Whoever installed the furnace, took a shortcut, and hooked up the exhaust vent to the vertical ducts going up and out of the old chimney. During this extremely cold weather snap, the brand new furnace cuts out due to ice blockage on the exhaust vent on the roof. My sister had the same plumber back tonight to remedy the situation, and told my sister that the previously existing duct system had too many bends in it, so he just ran the exhaust up and out of the chimney, instead of out of the side of the house, which is CODE.
