Fast and friendly service. Repair costs are posted. Quick turn around time.

The monitor started flickering on and off beginning in early April... I thought it might be a DVI cable, switched it out to no avail. By the 20th of April the monitor was switching off and staying off for about 5 minutes at a time, then coming back on by itself.

This has been nothing less than a nightmare as far as customer service.... I have been without a working monitor since about the 20th of April and there is no end of it in sight.

On May 20th I called LG customer support/service to see what the status was and why DK had not received their authorization to replace or confirmation a new monitor would be shipped out. I was given a new case number at this time as no case number could be found pertaining to my monitor. They could look up the serial number and identify it as my monitor but could not see any record of a service request other than the fact I had chatted with their customer service back on the 25th of April.

On May 19th I once again emailed LG service and did not receive a reply at all.

I called DK and was refused a technical report. The service manager (or who ever it was I spoke with) said it would complicate matters and LG might double ship a second monitor. At this time he indicated he was still waiting for a return authorization from LG. They STILL had not processed the request nor informed them of status.

The absolute worst experience I've ever had with a warranty service.

Along with giving me a new case number I was instructed to scan my original bill of sale, call DK and request Technical Report from DK and send these two items to a web link provided.

I called DK on May 2nd to get an update and it had still not made it to the bench. I called them again on May 10th and was told they were waiting on an email authorizing the repair or ordering a part (it was not clear what they were actually waiting for.)

At this point I emailed LG as well and received a no-reply form letter saying they would be processing within 5 to 7 business days. No acknowledgment of an issue or statement of repair plans.

I once again called LG on May 30th and was told DK had actually been dealing with LG's RA department which I assume is their replacement authorization department. It was explained that RA could only be accessed by dealers or service centres and in fact the was no communications available between RA and Customer service department. She could not tell me the status of my repair/replacement of indeed any other info. I was told I would have to wait on DK for any more info.

On April 25th I contacted LG Service via web chat and we isolated the issue and determined the monitor was indeed at fault. The service tech gave me the contact info for DK Electronics, the authorized LG Service depot here in Regina and I contacted them and brought the monitor in the next day - April 26th.

I also asked him when he thought the original request was sent to LG.... he thought it was May 13th.... Or maybe the 17th.... Or possibly the 18th of May!!

On May 26th i spoke again with DK service who again indicated they had heard nothing from LG, but he would be calling them that afternoon and would be getting back to me that day with an update. Needless to say I never received a return call.

When I entered the store today, I first had to stand around for 10-12 minutes waiting for someone to help me. When the sales associate finally came out from the back of the store I had to explain the problem with my one month old Samsung Galaxy pad. After doing this he went back to the back of the store and brought out another sales associate who asked me to explain the problem a second time. After doing this and presenting the receipt to him etc... he told me that the warranty wouldn't cover the problem and that I would have to pay out of pocket for it. I asked him to explain why, and he told me that he would first have to run a diagnostic on the tablet and then he would know. I asked him why he told me that I would have to pay out of pocket to fix it before he even examined it?! He told me that I would just have to trust him. I told him that I don't even know him and that if I am paying for a service or that Samsung was paying him for warranty reparis that I don't have to trust him, he just has to make the repairs that he's being paid to make. I commented that it sounded like he was running a bit of a scam at his repair shop by billing the customer for repairs then billing Samsung under the warranty for the same repairs too! He became visibly angry at my comment and then told me that he is going to refuse to make the repairs and that I needed to leave the shop. Definitely a scam shop!! Do not go there!!!

I also inquired as to the date DK actually made the request and he said May 10th.
