Don't take the airport lightly just because it's small, though. I once arrived rather close to the deadline, thinking that a small airport like this should have no problem getting my baggage on at the last second since they probably don't have anything else to do, anyway. They said it couldn't be done and that I should've arrived earlier. Thankfully, they were able to get me on the next flight without much hassle. I think there was a small fee, I don't really remember.

My mother travelled from Toronto to Regina and they first put her on a stand by, although the ticked was purchased almost a month ago. The for the same flight they did not put the luggage on flight so there was no luggage when she arrived at Regina airport. We reported the missing luggage and they said it would come on the next flight. It’s been 2 days and she has heard nothing back. We called in yesterday evening and they said it is out for dispatch but have not received till today. Well may be there is only 1 flight to Regina from Toronto every few days... Air Canada will definitely not be among my top choices here onwards.

This is my first time flying out of regina, I got 3 to 4 times every 2 weeks, my first impression here was amazing everyone was so nice and friendly. But then I got to the seating area for my gate, there was garbage everywhere (Not the airports fault) then I see the gentlem that is suppose to be cleaning but instead walks by the garbage looking at it laughing and then goes and sits on the bench doing nothing.. I understand people get breaks I know that but before I cams over he was just sitting around also..

The good: the airport is small so getting to the gate is a breeze. There is a Timmie's and a relay for quick convenience. Luggage came quickly from the plane. They have a moose RCMP statue.

Seemed decent enough last time I used this airport. It's so small that it's impossible to get lost. There's basically nothing interesting at this airport, so be sure to bring something to occupy yourself with while you wait. The self-serve kiosks are a nice time saver. Just punch in your booking reference code or print out your email and scan the QR code, then the machine prints off your tickets. Go to the desk, show them your tickets, give them your baggage, and you're pretty much on your way.

I started driving at 2:30 am today to be at the airport on time to make my flight to Edmonton. Many of us were in line well over an hour before our boarding time but with the security being the slowest I've ever seen, a lot of people including me missed our flights. No accommodations were made for people departing soon and everyone was told to wait their turn since "everyone's in the same boat".This excuse justified people going through security to be told to go back in line at the ticket counter, get a new ticket and go back to the security line just to go through the check again. This treatment of customers are unacceptable.

The bad: the Timmie's was bad. (and I go to lots of Timmie's) despite being small numbered flight early in morning security took longer than what I've experienced in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton... Very slow... And they audited 90% of the people with only 1 agent looking through baggage really bottlenecked the line...

If your destination is outside of Canada, there's a good chance you'll have to stop by a real airport first. That is, you'll be going to Toronto and sitting there for a few hours. You can't really blame the Regina airport for not having interesting sights, multiple dining options, and no direct flights to the USA. Still, it feels pretty underwhelming compared to bigger airports. My experience here with Air Canada has always been positive.

It's disappointing when a company strictly sticks to policies when they probably could help you if they actually tried. I mean, I'm not convinced that 2 or 3 minutes is the difference between it being possible or impossible to get my baggage on the plane. They did the next best thing by getting me on a flight the same day, though, so my plans and reservations were barely impacted. They were probably only able to do this because it's a small airport and the next flight wasn't fully booked. Anyway, it was my fault for showing up late, so I was lucky they didn't make me re-book the whole thing from scratch.
